14th National Symposium on Particle Preparation and Processing Successfully Concluded

On 23-25 August, 2019, the 14th National Symposium on Particle Preparation and Processing was held in Dandong city. Experts from more than 30 universities and research institutes including Tsinghua University, Beihang University, Beijing University of Chemical Technology, Central South University, South China University of Technology, East China University of Science and Technology and National Cheng Kung University as well as more than 60 company representatives attended the conference.

Professor Shen Zhigang, Chairman of Particle Preparation and Processing Committee in Chinese Society of Particuology (CSP), Vice Chairman and Professor Li Chunzhong, Mr. Wang Tizhuang, General Secretary of CSP, Professor Wang Yanmin, Professor Luo Guangsheng, Professor Song Shaoxian, Professor Yan Fushi, and other professors attended the conference. The opening ceremony of the conference was held by Professor Li Chunzhong, and then the organizer of the conference, general manager of Dandong Bettersize Instruments, gave a welcome speech. Professor Yan Fushi from National Cheng Kung University in Taiwan, also delivered a speech and expressed his pleasure to see the participation of many young professors as well as his expectations to the success of the conference.

After the brief opening ceremony, the highlight of the conference - the reports started. Professor Zheng Shuilin, a famous powder expert, first reported on the Structure and Visible Light Catalytic Properties of Titanium Dioxide/Kaolin Composites Modified by Nitrogen. He systematically described the modification method and excellent photocatalytic performance of titanium dioxide and kaolin composites, which was greatly applauded. Professor Yan Fushi, Professor Yang Huaming, Professor Li Chunzhong, Professor Luo Guangsheng, Professor Wang Yanmin, Professor Song Shaoxian made wonderful special reports. Many young scholars and businessmen also made conference reports, which deeply impressed the delegates. Dong Qingyun, general manager of Dandong Bettersize Instruments also reported to the conference on the latest development of particle measurement technology in Bettersize. The experts at the conference highly praised the innovative leading technology and products of our company.

During the meeting, the delegates visited exhibition hall, laboratories, instrument testing workshop, instrument assembly and adjustment workshop and manufacturing workshop in Bettersize Instruments. They were informed of the long history, advanced technology, school-enterprise cooperation achievements, and the production and quality control of a particle size analyzer. The delegates left good comments on the tidy workplace, standardized production organization and strict quality control system.

At the end of the meeting, Chairman Shen Zhigang made a comprehensive summary of the meeting at the closing ceremony. He said that the meeting was well prepared, well-organized and in good atmosphere with wonderful reports. Many reports are concerned with the latest technologies, which benefit the participants a lot. Professor Shen also expressed his gratitude to the conference staff and Bettersize company.

The 14th National Symposium on Particle Preparation and Processing was successfully concluded. The delegates returned with academic gains and friendship. We sincerely look forward to seeing you again at the next meeting two years later.
